...if so, how long could you go without cussing?

Not *every* day ... but I've been known to stick a few choice words in (every now and again) for emphasis. I could go forever without cussing, but sometimes it's just *necessary* ... !!! (Really.)

I do, all the time and I can't stop!!! I don't think I could go for 5 minutes without saying a cuss word.

The 'F' word especially has become so un-offensive to me now as it can be used to describe near enough any emotion, any object, any feeling. I must admit I do use it quite often (not at work) but me and my partner, and my friends all use it in jest - i think if i was out with all of them and especially if drink was involved, i'd struggle to go 10 mins without cussing lol!

When I was growing up, my mother said that you could always tell the level of intelligence of someone or their education level by whether or not they cursed. I never swear except when extremely mad, and then I get upset with myself for doing so. If you have to swear during a normal conversation, maybe you should try reading the dictionary to broaden your vocabulary. Also, swearing does not set a good example for youngsters, nor is it polite to curse around ladies.

I REALLY watch my mouth around religious people and that is very hard for me because I have such a Sailor mouth. I can only go a few hours with out cussing.

yeah... if i concentrated i could go for quite a long while; but there are moments when "curse words" are appropiate to the subject, if no other term will capture the emotion of a situation, so in moderation, cussing isn't so bad

In certain situations, I can refrain from cussing for a f**king long time. If f**king necessary. Like visiting my spouse's Mom. I keep my language tidy. Once I'm outside, I let loose. I also refrain while attending church.

No. When you use profanities people think you are uncultured. As an adult I don't remember having uttered profanities. Using profanities also show poor upbringing.
