It would help in the sense that less bacteria/moisture would be able to accumulate in the area. Less hair = less area
If you keep the area dry it will help eliminate body odor.

Using deodorant isn't something I would recommend since you would be blocking your pores. There's a reason why sweat is coming out of the sweat glands.

An alternative to using something like deodorant would be baby powder or scented baby powder. The baby powder would keep the area dry without blocking the pores.

You can think of this problem like people with bad breath. One way of eliminating bad breath is drinking water regularly. The longer the same saliva is in the mouth without being washed down, the more likely the person will develop bad breath.

If you're sweating an abnormal amount I would suggest seeing an acupuncturist to see if there's an underlying issue causing your body to sweat abnormally.

Hellooooo????!!!

Well, think about it. The less hair, the less sweat. Plus it looks better! There is nothing more Yuck than a woman lifting up her arm and there is a jungle happening there! (sorry if I'm being silly!)

OK, so you don't specify if it is for a guy or a woman, and I guess a guy can't shave under his arms of course, otherwise people would talk. A good Anti-persperant deoderant and a spay will help for BO for guys.

Hi,
Excessive sweating is a clinical condition where parts of the body are sweating beyond what the body needs.
It is commonly an inherited condition and can affect those who suffer from it on a social, functional, and emotional level.
Heavy sweating (also known as hyperhidrosis) is a very real and embarrassing problem, but there are some effective ways to treat it.
Before you hide under bulky sweaters or move to a chillier climate, you can try these proven techniques for combating excessive sweating: http://hyperhidrosis.toptips.org

If you want to get rid of sweaty underarms, get Certain Dry. You can buy it at walgreens and maybe rite-aid. You put it on at night and im not sure how it works but basically it makes it so you dont sweat. You could be outside in the middle of 120 degree heat and your arms will still be dry. Its amazing. I have used it since i was 15 and now, at age 18 i dont sweat. I put it on maybe once a week (or if i know i will be going to a place where im going to get hot) and it is amazing. It doesnt matter if you have hair under your arms either. It works either way.

It sure does.. sweat isn't trapped in the hair follicles if hair is removed, thus its more hygienic and less smelly.

Is the question for a guy or a girl?? b/c it makes a big difference. But anyways, the appearance is better w/o hair, and deodrant wouldn't stick to the hair.
