Once a week is fine but make sure you are using puppy shampoo. They sell this puppy shampoo at PetSmart even PetCo. Its called, "Crazy Dog". They have one for puppies that smells like baby powder and it actually last for a while. Its not that pricey either...you should give it a try. I found it at PetCo after a breeder recommended it to me when I bought my puppy and it works great.

Only Bath your dog if you have to. My dogs hardly get baths unless we are going to a show. It has been about 3 months since our last show but some I don't show so they haven't had a bath for years! My dogs go swimming and roll in the dirt but they are Jack Russells so there coats are made to the dirt just falls out. My dogs don't stink they eat good food..what goes in comes out! Processed dog food smells fowl! I know people that wash there dog every week but that is over done. when you wash a dog you wash out the natural oils and makes the dog's body to work harder to reproduce them. It takes a couple of Days for the dog to reproduce its oils but this is what stinks the dogs oils. That is why it is so important what you feed your dog cause it effects everything! Once or twice a month if you have to. I would wait for your pup to be at least 12 wks for her first bath just make sure you dry her quickly and keep her warm. but she should need another one until about 2 months or so...unless she has rolled in some thing! ha ha ha!

Don't wash her every week. It can irriate her skin. Also, don't ever use people shampoo, it's not ph balanced for dogs. Once every 2 weeks is usually fine. Since she's a puppy, and a very very young one at that, make sure you thoroughly dry her after her bath so she doesn't get chilled. A lot of dogs outgrow the very smelly young dog phase.. mine did. Just learn to love all of her, I guess.. it's not that hard :o) Good luck and have fun!

Hmmm...imagine that...a dog that smells like a dog??!!! Seriously...don't over do the bathing as it can cause respiratory problems and dry out her skin. When she's older it will be okay to bathe her weekly...but not at 8 wks. Do NOT use any perfumes or powder on her either (not even ones designed for dogs) because of her young age.

In countries like mine, the weather is damp and hot. So i usually bathe my dogs once a week, more often if they stink or get dirty. And it's okay to bathe ur dog more than once a week, just try not to especially if ur dog has dry skin problem. If ur pup is still 8 weeks old, dont bathe it too often, istead give it a wipe down with a damp or wet towel.

That depends. If she is that small, I'd say avoid washing that often. Use a very mild shampoo designed only for dogs. Washing her too much can cause dry skin, especially in winter or dry climates.

Try not to wash her to often it can dry the skin out and cause irrataion. Once every two weeks at most to bath. Change to a higher quilty of food that helps with odor, also change her bedding often.

No you will dry out her skin. Dogs don't need baths like people do. And don't wash her with flea soap every time either, you'll kill her that way. Once a month should be enough.

depends on the breed and if she lives inside or outside.. all dogs have a doggie smell, its normal. i wash mine once a week, but they are wash n wear dogs, who run outside everyday, also in muddy conditions, we live in tropical climate so they get skin probs quickly. your vet can advise, but not too often as they need to keep natural oils on their skin.... use special doggy shampoo, not like dettol and stuff
