Physical Method
Wash your face with a mild facial scrub as one or two times a day. You can use a facial scrub which has a cooling effect. For men, you can use this facial product as your shaving agent. Wash the face with light strokes, just like applying lotion on your skin. Don't stretch! Massage once a week to loosen dirt and impurities from your skin.
Try to keep your hair out of your face as much as possible. If you have bangs, keep them off your forehead with a cute hair clip or headband. Keep your hair clean so excess oil doesn't get on your face, if your hair does happen to touch your face.
Use a mild facial toner. You can buy a product with Zeroil which is a good oil controlling agent and papaya extract, any whitening content to prevent dark spots or Hydrogen Peroxide 3% solution. Hydrogen Peroxide is not drying and it kills bacteria. Don't rub! Just pat or wipe the cotton upwards and outwards.
Take supplementary in-takes such as Vitamin E, or GrapeSeed Extract. They are good anti-oxidants which contribute to skin rejuvenation. This can prevent scarring. Doxycyline is also good. As an antibiotic it lessens the protein in the bacteria, and stops pimples from multiplying.
If you notice greasiness on the surface of your face, you can use a piece of clean plain paper to remove the oil. Don't rub, just blot the oily portion of your face. This will also prevent your foundation from caking. You don't want to attract bacteria to feed on your oily face.
Use an oil-free sunscreen, even if not exposed to sun. UV rays are everywhere.

Long-Term Method
Drink at least 6-8 glasses of water each day.
Wash your face twice a day (once in the morning and once at night). Do not wash more than 2-3 times, because this will dry out and irritate your face.
Keep your hair out of your face. If you have bangs, pull them back with a headband or clip. The oil from your hair can cause pimples on your skin.
Put ice on your pimples for 30-60 seconds every two hours. This will reduce the redness and make your pimples less visible. Toothpaste works for some people, too. However, it may cause irritation and is not very reliable.
Use a medicated cream if you have a lot of pimples, also a toner and moisturizer to make the process faster.
Change your pillowcases at least once a week, because oil and dirt will gather on them. When you sleep, the oils and dirt will spread to your face.
Watch to see if you have pimples on your body (such as your back). If so, buy a special body wash that will also treat pimples.
Change your diet. Eat less fast food and milk products, and eat more vegetables and other healthy foods.

Tips
Try to get makeup that is oil-free or non-comedogenic, which means it won't clog pores.
Nivea Visage Young can help reduce pimples.
Clearasil for Men, Post Shaving Balm also kills acne, but you have to pop your pimples first or it won't work as well!!
Keep your hands clean, try to reduce the amount of times you touch your face. A scratch on the face is OK, but make sure your hands are clean.

Warnings
Don't wash your face more than 3 times a day. It will cause you face to go dry.
Change your pillowcases often. Oil from your face collects on your pillowcase, and sleeping on an oily pillowcase won't help.

Don't squeeze them! You don't mention how old you are but sometimes men will get whats called "ingrown facial hair"! It's when you shave and one of your facial hairs grows under the skin causing a hard lump that is painful to touch. They can last quite awhile and what happens is eventually the hair works it's way to the surface where it forms a whitehead and when you squeeze the spot a hair will pop out! It looks like a little stick almost!! Then the bump goes away! I usually get them once in ahile in the same spots!! Go figure!! So!!! You may have that going on instead of pimples! Pimples usually appear and in a day or two form a whitehead that can be popped! Gross stuff what we guys gotta go through huh!!

Pimples can be due to several reasons and the cure also varies.
To reduce pimples, 1. splash your face with plain water several times a day don't wash frequently. During winters wash once with a mild soap ( the soap should not dry your skin a lot). During summers wash with a mild soap once in morning and once in evening.

2. Try to eat less oily stuff like deep fried and oily junk food. Be generous on salads and fruits.

3. Drink gallons of water to cleanse your system.

all this works for me.

If there is no improvement then go to a skin specialist who'll treat you for any possible skin infections.

NATURAL ACNE PROTOCOL
1/ Never, ever touch your face.
2/ Use 3 facecloths to wash your face, one to soap on, one to soap off with very hot water, one to rinse off with ice cold water, in that order, once a day.
3/ If you are under 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A once a day with a full meal
4/ If you are over 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A twice a day with a full meal.
Do not get pregnant while taking vitamin A. Do not take any more, like Accutane, it will stop you growing.
5/ Never, ever. pick, squeeze or pop your spot. Read number 1 again.
6/ Do this for 90 days.
7/ Invest in a brand new pillow and 2 new or more pillow cases to double bag' your pillow. HOT wash every couple of days.

A bit of advice given to me as a teenager, a bit of science as I am studying allergic reactions and vitamin A is a part of that. A bit of research: I sat in a lecture at the back and watched the acne prone pick at their faces, those with the worse acne touched their faces 32 times in an hour, the clearest complexions didn't touch their faces even once. I have circumstantial evidence that acne is the result of dermatophyte transfer from hands to face...where it does not get washed off and is well fed by hormones, sweat a
nd oil...just a hypothesis... But it would explain why vitamin A is so effective as vitamin causes skin to remove dermatophytes.

The secret is never to touch the spots

Tips on how to treat acne and achieve perfect clear skin in as little as 7 days?

Make a paste by mixing honey and cinnamon powder. Apply this paste on the pimples before sleeping and wash it next morning with warm water. Repeat for two weeks, pimples will disappear forever.

There are many cheap and effective home remedies for acne. Tomato slices, turmeric, papaya juices and home made face packs will treat existing pimples and prevent further problems. More remedies at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/acne.html

The only real cure is going to the dermatalogist for Accutane. Its a proven miracle, I promise. I took it and a friend took it and it has never returned. She had very low self esteem because of it and it was like night and day. She was so happy as I have been.
