The comedy awards are wierd, you can never tell if 'brave' jokes will go down well or wreck your career. If depends entirely on what mood the audience is in at that particular second. Just look how Jukian Clary's career died for 3 years.
I'm not disgusted, I don't think it actually funny - but that's nothing to do with the subject matter. It just wasn't a funny joke.
