NO. Proof can only be in your own experience. It doesn't matter what a book says, nor what someone else tells you ... that is not proof. The proof is within your own experience alone. When you are touched by the hand of God, you have your proof .. but it cannot be "demanded."

I think that a supernatural claim should have greater predictive power than a non-supernatural claim. Allow me to explain:
What we call "Science" isn't a universal study of truth. It's a study of using empirical and testable observations to make predictions about the world around us. We predict with the theory of gravity that things will move towards each-other (specifically, the frickin planet!). We can say "God wills everything to go where it goes" but it doesn't give us as much information, and it doesn't give us predictions which (and here's the key point) *turn out to be accurate.* For a supernatural explanation of something to be considered viable, it must be simpler than the scientific observation and grant equal or greater predictive results. Now, when I say "simpler" I mean, you have less things to account for. Unfortunately, when you use ANYTHING supernatural, you have to account for such things as "how does something without mass apply force/energy/etc etc" and lots of things that make the theory lack coherency. And when a theory isn't coherent, it's possible to draw opposite conclusions from the same theory!
In short, the entire issue of science is an application of Occum's Razor. If we wish to be able to make predictions about our world, we must follow this path. If we want to follow the pursuit of "truth" we can do that without using Occum's Razor, but then you run into problems. Whenever you create a philosophical arguement, you have to set up a series of premises. IF we agree these premises as being true, and the arguement doesn't contain any logical flaws in its format (it is valid), then the conclusion must be accepted as true (you can refuse to accept the conclusion as true, but then you are being by definition unreasonable. If you're okay with that, that's just fine, but now both science AND pure logic have failed you, so you're pretty much unable to come to any conclusions based on anything except instinct).
People tend not to understand what science means and what logic means. I just like to explain things a little clearly. Science doesn't PROVE anything, it merely gives significant evidence that makes it more effective to follow its predictions. PROOF requires the acceptance of premises (facts), which science cannot prove (only give evidence to the extent that we'd be idiotic NOT to accept certain premises).

heres the problem.
1) "Supernatural" isn't beyond "natural" at all, its just a different part of nature.
2) the metaphysical world IS such that it IS testable by scientific method. BUT, due to the nature of it being an entirely different aspect of the natural world... you have to use different base variables. that is, what constitutes "proof" has to be within the scope of the metaphysical world, not the physical one.
trying to test the metaphysical world with physical world parameters would be like trying to test things in a zero-gravity vacum, with instruments designed for, and tuned for say, the bottom of the ocean. SOME stuff might be able to give some distorted faint reading.... but it won't really work.
it would make sense for an instrument designed for, and calibrated for measuring things at the bottom of the ocean, to not really work very functionally on the surface, or in a zero gravity vacum. this is obvious.
so why is it so hard for the scientific minded people to fathom the concept that the metaphysical world is the same way. you are trying to use a tool out of its environment,. without even trying to recalibrate it, let alone adapt the general idea of its design to function properly in the new environment.
I think many science-minded people are so locked into the frame of reference they are so accustomed to, trying to work in a DIFFERENT frame is simply unimaginable.
and I think the idea that SOME humans, without tools, might be able to observe things that they cannot,... is terrifying to them.
I mean thats reasonable. if I were part of a society that was closed off, and everyone in that society was born blind.... the prospect of there being a whole massive variety of perceptive awareness that "we" were entirely oblivious of... it WOULD be a horrifically terrifying concept. "if we don't know about THAT what else don't we know about?"
I don't blame the metaphysically oblivious, science minded people from fighting the idea of adapting scientific method to be able to verify the metaphysical world. nobody likes being made a fool of, or being made to look stupid.

Can They (human gods of all other religions, except Islam) Create a Fly?
73. O people, here is a parable that you must ponder carefully: the idols you set up beside GOD can never create a fly, even if they banded together to do so. Furthermore, if the fly steals anything from them, they cannot recover it; weak is the pursuer and the pursued.
74. They do not value GOD as He should be valued. GOD is the Most Powerful, the Almighty.
75. GOD chooses from among the angels messengers, as well as from among the people. GOD is Hearer, Seer.
76. He knows their past and their future. To GOD belongs the ultimate control of all matters.
77. O you who believe, you shall bow, prostrate, worship your Lord, and work righteousness, that you may succeed.

The supernatural is something humans cannot perceive. The existence of the supernatural is proved by the existence of the natural which humans can perceive with their natural senses. God created the heavens and the earth and everything in them. When we see the vastness, complexity and beauty of creation there must be a God who created all of it. It just cannot just happen.

It depends HOW MUCH evidence you talking about.
There is ENOUGH evidence to conclude that there is a God. But there is not enough evidence to force people into belief.

Get over yourself! We don't need "proof". We have had the Spirit of God come into our hearts and let us know that He is there and he loves us.
Here's how I see it. As a believer, I have nothing to lose if I die and there is nothing after this life. But you, on the other hand, have EVERYTHING to lose if you die and find that we were right all along.
