Question

1)How many grams of ice would be melted by the energy obtained as 18.0 g of steam is condensed at 100 deg celc and cooled to 0 deg celc? (Ans: 144 g) How do you get this? And here's my other question... 2)The heat of combustion of bituminous coal is 2.5x10^4 J/g. What quantity of coal is required to produce the energy to convert 100. pounds of ice at 0 deg celc to steam at 100 deg celc?
(Ans: 5.46 kg)
