My hair is extremely dry. I made the mistake of dying it about 3 weeks ago and it is fried. I've been using all kinds of conditioners...deep treatment from Aveda, Redken and have been putting leave-in conditioner in when I get out of the shower. What else can I use/do to pump some moisture into my hair.

PS: I have curly hair and I wash it every other day to avoid drying it more...don't know what else to do!

If you have curly hair you shouldn't wash it so much, 3 times a week at most - twice if it's cold where you live. Your hair shaft needs to be repaired so try a repairing, not a moisturizing conditioner. And instead of a separate leave-in conditioner, let the repairing conditioned dry in your hair. You can rinse a bit out if your hair gets too weighed down &you need to. But that will keep your hair from getting damaged further & help repair it.

Unfortunately you might have done some permanent damage, you might have to cut all that hair off in a year or so because it might get softer for a while & then start to split & frizz very badly. Good luck!

try hot oils... leave them in for about 5 minutes and rinse, this will coat the hair with moisture a fill in the dry fried areas that lack in moisture. good luck.

p.s keep using Aveda and Redken products as they are fantastic and pop in that leave in conditioner too... your hair will eventually get better, it just takes some time. good luck again.

Let your deep hair conditioner sit for longer, at least 2-3 hours before washing off, within a few weeks, it helps!!

JOICO K-PAK (I think that's how the second word is spelled) turned my superdry, super-dehydrated crispy hair into silky smooth hair. You should try the intense conditioner. Redken and a bunch of other brands haven't worked for me either!

you should use oil daily. dont use conditioners and diffrent brands of shampo. as they damage the hair as well. wash your hair with the gap of at least 1 or 2 days, use yogart and oil. do some masaj of your head skin and try to avoid extremely hot water for your hair

definately do NOT use hot oils! they only coat the hair and do not penetrate. try Back to Basics Raspberry Almond shampoo and conditioner, sold in salons.
