The Urim and Thummim were worn by the Jewish High Priest and apparently vanished with the Destruction of the Temple in 583BC. Probably broken up and used for something else.
(They were divining instruments for discerning the Will of G-d.
They were not 'spectacles' to look through, nor do the limited references to them suggest they gave power to translate languages.
I have never, therefore, been able to figure out how Joseph Smith was able to look through them and translate "Reformed Egyptian" - a language never known before or since his time - into the 16th Century English of the King James Bible!! Or why G-d wanted His ultimate revelation in that sort of language, when smith lived in the 19th Century!)

I believe the Urim and Thummim were lost in prehistory, maybe at the time of the Babylonian Captivity.
However, the Mormons believe that the Urim and Thummim were used by Joseph Smith, their first Prophet, to translate the Golden Plates from Reformed Egyptian into English, thus bringing the Book of Mormon into existence. According to Mormon history, after the translation was complete, the Angel Moroni then took possession of the Urim and Thummim and they thus passed out of existence again.

The Urim and Thummim was an instrument that was used the prophet Joseph Smith when he was translating the Book of Mormon from ancient records. I don't know where it is now, but I'm sure that it is in good hands, as it is a very sacred object.

The Urim and Thummim are lost to us. We don't even know what they look like. I doubt that modern Jews use the Urim and Thummim, either. Even some practices mentioned in the New Testament, like "baptism for the dead", are lost to us. We don't practice that today, and we have very little idea of what that could mean. (I suppose it means being baptized in the place of someone who has already died, particularly a "righteous person" who died before they could hear about Jesus. But I'm speculating.) The "priesthood of believers" means that we all have direct access to God through Jesus Christ. We don't have to go through a human priest anymore. (I think, though, that we can if we want to.) It also means that, like priests, we stand between God and the world at large, and advocate for the world and for its salvation and for its inhabitants. You don't need an Urim and Thummim to do that, or any objects; all you need are yourself and God.

The Angel Moroni took them after the translation of the Book of Mormon was complete. They are safe where no man can gain from them monetarily. Check out the site below for an LDS (Mormon is only a nick name) history of this. There is one description prior to mine, but this site tells you that there was more than one.
