In my opinion, this fight wouldn't last 4 rounds, Tommy is a completely different class than Bernard, as was Leonard, Duran and Hagler. Hopkins would not go the distance with any of these guys.

Hopkins opposition in his reign as Middleweight Champion was indeed weak, he tried solidifying his "Greatness" with calling out blown up Jr. Middleweights, De La Hoya and Trinidad. Sure he has a record for defenses, but surely none of the guys he fought were anywhere close to great, they were marginally good at best. Is this Hopkins fault? Absolutely not, but people should be careful to not name him as one of their best.

Herans would hurt the much slower starter Hopkins early in the first round and would not let him off the hook, Herans would land his devastating right hand at will and stop the game but over matched Hopkins late in the third round.

it would be a similar fight to Bernard vs. Trinidad.
Except Tommy was a little bigger and stronger than Tito, though Tito had a much better chin.
I could see Bernard getting dropped for the first time in his life by Tommy early in the fight, but then the defensive wizz Bernard would settle in and win the rest of the fight, much like Marquez beating Pacman after the first round knockdowns.

Hearns is an all time great. That being said he had a suspect chin. I agree with you, B Hop by a late round KO or TKO.
