Dear friend,

Yes, it's possible to run old windows version compatible programs on the latest versions like XP, 2003. It's the "Compatiblity mode" which makes it possible. Follow the steps:
1. Select that application's .exe or .Lnk (shortcut file link usually on desktop) file.
2. Right click on it and then select the "Compatibility" tab (3rd from left).
3. Look for the "compatibility mode" text, a checkbox will be given under it and a text saying "Run this program in compatibilty mode for".
4. check the box and then select the type of Operating system installed on your system like XP as you stated. But If XP is not provided then select the previous latest system like 2000 becuase they all belong to NT family.
5. Nothing else to do but click ok. Now try the program.
