If the first sentence of Revelations is wrong and what was presented in there is literal and not symbolic, thus the 144,000 is suppose to be drawn from literal Israel, than weren't they suppose to accept Christ as the Messiah, in the time of the end? To my knowledge, they have not done so. A few Jewish Sects or Cults have gone as far as saying he was a Prophet, but not the Messiah. If they refuse to acknowledge this, does that mean we are not in the time of the end, as Christendom has proclaimed, and that Armageddon is not near? Or, are the references made in Revelations just symbols of something else, as the first sentence says?

Where in the Bible does it say that if a percentage of Jews accept the Messiah, they speak for the nation of Israel?

Why can you not accept the Jews? They follow the religion of your founder better than you do. Love is the key, not missionaries.

This is not completely correct. The 144,000 are to be drawn from the nation of Israel, not the country. Since the nation of Israel has been dispersed for more than 2000 years, it stands to reason that at least a portion of them have become Christian and accepted Jesus as the messiah. Not to mention the two lost tribes that are out in the world. Moreover, it is rather arrogant for one to even try and figure out the end of the world (e.g. look up the Millerites and the Great Disappointment) as no man can know when the end of the world is to come.

Personally, all these prophets and preachers that try to scare everyone and predict the end of the world are just meglomaniacs and blinded by their own pride and greed. If you read the Bible it clearly shows that Jesus was not sitting around reading the Bible and trying to interpret it and figure out the end of the world. Instead he was out in the world and doing good, and that, alas, is the whole point of the Bible. The Bible is not some cryptic message and sorting device, leave that to God and go out in the world and be good to your fellow man. I think sometimes people can not see the forest for the trees.

Are you talking about the modern-day country that we call Israel? In the Bible, it is never talking about the country. It's talking about the house of Israel, which is people who descended directly from Jacob and/or people who were adopted into his house through baptism. So in other words, this is most likely talking about the gathering of God's chosen people, the house of Israel, which is talked about throughout the Bible.

As far as the end, I have no idea how near the end is. I know that it has already been the last days for a long time. There are some prophecies about the last days that have been fulfilled, and some that have not. I think the best way to approach the end of the world is simply to do your best and try to share the gospel with others. Then, whenever it comes, you'll be ready.

For one thing, there are Jews who have accepted Jesus as the Messiah, they're called Messianic Jews and there are some who post here on this thread. Also if you read Romans 11, it explains in full why the Jews (the majority) didnt accept the Gospel. God did not revoke His promise to the Jews, He declairs "All Isreal will be saved!" God hardened their hearts until a full number of Gentiles come to Him. Please... dont take my word for it, or the word of someone else here. Read Romans 11 yourself (its too big to post) and it will make more sense.

God divorced natural Israel and grafted in the branches of Spiritual Israel many years ago. They had many many chances to do his will and always acted against him.
