The church is the Christians they are the body of Christ not the physical building. The body of Christ (the church) operates both in the spiritual (to be in Jesus) and the natural (to be like Jesus) realms. The church is spiritual as well as natural.

Personally speaking, I have always felt church was a strickly social function. It is positive for people with like ideas to have fellowship with one another. I think only your personal relationship with God is spiritual.
