I hope to gain a better insight to public opinion, participate in a free exchange of ideas, add my "2 cents", and possibly learn something.

It's an urge. If you seek to affect public opinion by fighting the overwhelming power of those in positions to create it, you will become bitter at the hopelessness of it. So you follow the same trait of human nature that leads you to cheer on your team when watching football on TV--not at the stadium, where you can actually affect the morale and the performance of the team. The NFL empowers us more than our obsolete and undemocratic Constitution does.

It helps me better articulate and develop my own political beliefs and stances by having them constantly challeneged. Because they are so often challeneged, I am put in the position of either supporting them with good reasons or abandoning them all together. Likewise, I have become far more conservative after participating in this forum...

To know the concerns of people around the world and answer their questions appropriately. I could help others or might disagree with their views but the end result is that knowledge is acquired both ways.

I am not American, but I am fascinated and stunned at the childish name calling and games that go on here. America is a much divided country and that is a sad situation. I would like to see people in this forum have a little more class and humility. It is nice to be proud of your roots and where you come from, but try and show some decorum and not bash those from other countries.

I've learned that seemingly disparate people are capable of coming together as human beings.
I'm no neo-hippy "the terrorists have a side of the story" type of guy either.

To talk about how much I loathe the Surpeme Court. I want more people to realize that the Supreme Court is just as much full of crooks and cheaters and liars as is Congress.

When evrythings in life is not "All for the money " in planet of apes.
So pick whatever you can.
The survival and advancement of the little one is at risk out there.
Have to do something for them.

Just got to know how Fragile and weak the US is....I'd recommend a multiparty military intervention by Russia,China and India under the order of UN to seize US power and give freedom to all US citizens.The US is soon going to be labeled a terrorist state by bombing half the world...
