although i went natural i would suggest keeping it trimmed of split ends, no overprocessing (if you go to a salon they keep better control of that. Don't put alot of gels or hardening spray products, if you do wash it out not brush or comb, and my main suggestion is stay away from using excess heat all the combing brushing, blowing drying, curling and flat irons is really high maintenance, finally sleep with a silk scarf or if you not used to that sleep on a silk pillow case, cotton can strip the moisture from your hair and break it off in the back and middle

Your hair needs added moisture, so you need to use an hair dressing that contains natural herbs, and vitamins and minerals. Apply to hair and scalp and message it in. If your using heat hair appliances limit your use, they cause the hair to become dry, brittle and break off. Do not use products that contains, petroleum jelly, alcohol, ammonia they cause hair to become dry also. Do not use rubber bands to your hair, wrap up your hair at night. Use shampoo and conditioners that adds extra moisturizers to your hair.

grease is bad for ur hair trust me it has to many chemicals and mineral oil and pretolum. why dont u just use castor oil and mix it with cocunut oil-heat it up and message it on ur scalp and hair-this will help thicken your hair and get it to be longer.you should use vatika henna shampoo it is 80% natural. u can use shikakai powder or henna do thics once a week and u will get results within 2 months. ur hair will stop breakin and stay aways from blowdryers and straighners. if u want heat on ur hair only use one heat.

You should grease not just your your scalp but your end to... but unfortunately curls may not hold to good but once you get your hair healthy again you and add heat to it but while your trying to grown out or maintain your hair don't use heat or as little as possible. get perms regularly or pressed. Go to the shop so they can clip your ends or find someone who know what their doing to clip your ends other wise it will just keep coming out. and believe me this is from personal experience hope it helps :)

VO5 hot oil treatments... every two weeks if you have oily skin, or every week if you have dry skin. It really helps! Also, buy a hair mask that contains olive oil, and leave it on overnight with your hair wrapped up in a towel. Its a bit messy.. but it really really helps.

-1-moisture............ moisture ..............moisture........
- hot oil treatment every week for hair and scalp "because usualy sis our hair is dry even when scalp is oily ,the curls prevent the natural oil from moisturizing the shaft"
- moisturizing the ends every day
- protective hair style so The ends of your hair will not be sweeping against your clothing but will be lying on your clothing. This is less friction against your hair.
- always use a conditioner after every wash
- use a leave-in conditioner

-2-the less manipulation to hair the better it will be
-3-Junk foods can slow down hair growth, and cause your hair to constantly break
-4-Stress: This depletes the body of B vitamins.
During high stress times take a good vitamin B complex
