i just had a lot of robotussin at around 11, how long does it take for the drug to start working?

should start to work in about 10 min. I usually take 1and half caps full.

I'd say generally 20-30 minutes.
Please do not take more than the recommended dose. You could end up doing a lot of damage to your liver if you do that.

as a trauma icu nurse-i must advise against this deadly practice...
do you have nothing else better to do with your time? in the event that you have the following symptoms-you could end up in the er-taking up a bed that an actual sick person could be using.
people like you really frustrate me b/c i have to spend my time making you better when there was no need for you to end up sick in the first place!!!
here are some symptoms you could end up with (and trust me-it happens-i see it alot)
Watch for the symptoms of abuse which include: sweating, high body temperature, dry mouth, blurred vision, hallucinations, delusions, nausea, stomach pains, vomiting, irregular heart beat, high blood pressure, numbness in toes and fingers, red face, headache, loss of consciousness
it takes this medication about 30 mins to kick in and all at once-so once you've overdosed-there is no going back. you'll end up in the er having your stomach pumped-think about it......
