How's Vista compared to XP? Anything special about vista? The laptop I'm getting in a few days is vista compatible, and it comes with a free windows vista upgrade when it comes out, so I just wanted to know more about it.

I have only been using the RC1 Beta edition for a few months now and I like the GUI of Vista. It also makes Backgrounds and Pics look better on mt laptops monitor. I have found I like the way it works so far. Like I said I have been testing the Beta version and only have 1 program that my computer would not let work yet. It was Microsofts DVD Maker and it would not work because the driver for my Laptops graphics card was not rated high enough yet. I have a HP laptop and they said they were going to be supporting Vista as soon as it comes out on the market. I am loking forward to using it...

It has made some programs work faster on my laptop, I have a HP 15'4" w/ AMD XP 64 3200 processor with just over 1 Gb of Ram.. Hope this helps, I would definately upgrade when available..
