Does fed ex usually delivery at night? and are they accurate on delivery times? I dont want to miss the truck. what can I do, if I am not here? I dont want them to just leave it on my back porch. please help?

They always estimate 7pm because thats around the latest time they deliver. They do deliver that late... it depends on the load, and where your house is on the truck's route is what time you will get your package. You should call FedEx customer service tomorrow and they can look at your tracking number and tell you if signature is required. If signature is required, they will not leave it at your porch... they will leave a slip, letting you know you have the option to pick it up (and what time it will be available for you at your branch) and that you have the option to request a re-delivery. You will have to call them to schedule the redelivery. They will hold the package for you at the branch for a period of days, it will be noted on the slip, after that, it gets returned to sender. If signature is not required, it will be left on your porch. In future online/catalogue purchases, I suggest calling customer service or reading their shipping policies in detail, alot of times the companies will list that they require signature upon delivery or that they don't... companies have a prefered method of shipment so they can tell you what to expect so you can plan your purchase.
And sometimes, its all together inaccurate... yesterday for example, the tracking number for my FedEx package said it was to be delivered yesterday. I waited til 7pm than left the house. I called FedEx this morning and they said they were JUST delivering it today... so sometimes the estimated delivery date and time is just that... an estimate.

Yes of course but you best call them and let them know your plans or you could have a missed delivery again and 3 tries is the usual limited attempts.Or you can leave a signed note along with signing the Tag they left giving permission to leave it unless it is a Package that does not allow a release with out your in person signature. You can also request it be brought to where you work...

They're usually pretty accurate. Yes, they deliver in the evening. If you dont want them to leave it w/o you're being there, then BE THERE. If you must work, then get someone to be there for you.

If you just want to pick up the package from their warehouse, you can call 1.800.GoFedEx and see if they can hold the package for you to pick up.
