I have a male (desexed) and a female (desexed) cat, both 12mths old, they came from separate litters. I wanted to know whether you reckon i should refer to them as brother and sister, or a couple?

Consider them brother and sister. They are both adopted, by you, and they will not be having kittens (thank you for desexing them), so for all intents and purposes they are siblings

If they are from the same parents (or parent) they are siblings, even if they are not litter mates. Being cats, this would not stop them from being a couple if they were not desexed. If they are not related they are not related. But you can make something up if you want to.

Up to you really. I consider my cats brother and sister. Would only consider them a couple if they were to breed but since I will not breed animals, they are siblings in my eyes.

Brother/Sister for sure. Unless it's like a platonic couple...

well it would really depend on how they act towards each other but in a more general sense if your the type of person who considers your pets to be like furry children & you theyre adopted mother then they would be like bro & sister
