It feels almost like my feet and lower legs have fever, with heat radiating off them. They are so achy and almost itchy, but not itchy. I have a restless feeling in my legs, like a creepy crawly spiderweb feeling. It keeps me from being able to relax, to sleep at all. If I take something to help me sleep, it seems to make the symptoms worse. I will take cool lotion and rub and massage my feet and legs which will help for about 5 minutes. But then it starts right back up again. Does anyone have a clue what this might be and what I can do to alleve the symptoms? Thanks in advance for your help! Happy Holidays!!

sounds like you may have resstless leg syndrome. its caused by venousstasis (blood pooling) in your legs when you stand for long periods of time.

try elevating your legs, massage them (or have someone do it for you!), and look up (on any health site) RLS or resstles leg syndrome.

also wearing tight calve or thigh high stockings/socks/leggings during the day may help prevent this.

they make a drug for RLS now too, so call your GP if you are interested.

Might want to see a doctor because it sounds like it might be a blood clot. My dad had problems like that and the doctor diagnosed him with vericose veins. I would see a doctor though if these symptoms persist could be less serious like restless leg syndrome.

Insomnia (sleeplessness) is due to stress, dietary and medical
problems. By making small lifestyle changes like having a fixed
daily routine, relaxing and eating properly, insomnia can be
cured. I found the information at http://tinyurl.com/jfzpz useful
for getting sleep.

Sounds like you have R.L.S. (Restless Leg Syndrome). Both of my paternal grandparents have it.

The FDA is slowly approving medications for it, and my grandmother says it seems to work.
