if you decide to perm AND color you're hair you should perm FIRST, other wise, the perm will fade your color.
Then you should do a protein treatment, I suggest Duddley's Cream Protein, Leave this on for 15-30 min and sit under a warm dryer...The heat opens your cuticles and helps the protein seep into your hair.
The wait a couple of weeks 2-3 weeks MINIMUM, do another cream protein treatmen, and then perm your hair. Otherwise, you're hair will melt...Trust me, i found this out the hard way in Beauty SChool..
At the moment ihave Colored AND permed hair, however plz keep in mind that you should Use a LIGHTER hair color, NOT a hair Lightener...
If you hair is Virgin, (has no chemicals on it now, (color or perm) A Regular (professional) hair color will lighten it, with out the use of "bleach"
If you must "Bleach" you're hair, be prepared for a hair cut after the perm, because more than likely you are going to have some seriously melted ends...
Be sure to do another protein treatment acouple of days after you're perm. And goodluck!
Also, in reference to the recently Permed lady above. You should try to use less product, that could actually be contributing to your dry hair (believe it or not) you should shampoo only every couple of days..and use a leave in conditioner and gel(optional)
The gel or other product will cause your hair to be a lil frizzy, if you just use the leave in conditioner (i suggest The Conditioner, By Paul Mitchell) and scrunch a lil bit, you will more than likely see a huge difference..also you may benfit from a protein treatment as well.

definately not blonde if u have asian skin, u can go with golden browns, deep browns, blacks, auburn/redish browns. If you want to perm ur hair I suggest a home one first, because if you dont like it, it wont last as long as a perm from a salon. The best thing to get a wavy home perm is bigger rollers, and make sure you put a lot in, or your hair wont stay. I did a home perm around 2 months ago, and its still lasting.

First off do yourself a favor and dont perm your hair. The curls never look natural they only give you an out dated look. Trust me I just got one because I thought it would look nice...biggest mistake I ever made. It completely killed and dried out my hair and the curls look like dread locks and my head is constantly frizzy. I look like Diana Ross from the 70s with a really bad hair day. Beyond that most people dont realize that having a perm also causes more maintnence. Instead of taking ten minutes to do your hair try like 30-40. You cant just shower and go to work you have to make sure you brush it with conditioner and then use like a biosilk product and then scrunch it and use some mouse or somekind of styling gel. Its unmanageable and not easy to take care of because they are so drying to your hair you need to constantly condition it and you cannot brush it when its dry and you need to sleep with a hankerchief on at night because if you dont you will wake up with one giant knot in your hair. Dont do it just color it that will do way less damage and get your self a good curling iron or put rollers in you hair and sleep with them in like old fashion times anything is better then the perm.....

ok elementary perm your hair first. this would immediately lighten your hair so this must be achieved first. Ask the stylist even though it would take a minimum of two wks. to your hair would be waiting to coloration. think of approximately highlights that's far less unfavourable plus it is going to pass exact with the hot waves. Your on the right song with the colour. Definately ash tones. Do separately, its greater effective to your hair plus you will regulate greater effective (than to be taken aback by using too distinctive of a glance). Rock on!
