it's not dangerous-as the wound dries up and heals-it can sometimes stick to whatever is covering it.
run lukewarm water over the bandaid until it softens and starts to come off. you can help it along by slowly pulling it while running the water over it.
after you get the banaid off-wash the wound well with warm water and mild soap (dove or ivory). use telfa pads to cover it-these are non-stick pads that are designed NOT to stick to your wound while helping it to heal. they can be found at any drugstore. curad makes them. apply a thin layer of neosporin to the wound before covering it.

Stay away from the vaseline, soak it off in warm water. Replace it with Opsiite from the chemist (pharmacy) Opsite acts like your skin and will speed the healing along nicely by resealing the wound
If you need stitches go get them
If it's not that bad and the edges are still wet pull the wound closed with steristrips (from the chemist),
The redcross discovered blood is one of the best wound cleaners in their feild hospitals
Might pay to take it to your doctor. If your last tetnus immunisation was over 6years ago you should get a booster shot.

Pending on where the wound is exactly on your body its best to peel the bandaid very slowly off and place some strapping tape on it to prevent any dirt from getting on it

Remove it carefully with warm water. Use some medication & make sure your hands or the person who is helping you, are clean...you don't want it to get infected...If it hurts really badly, wait a little for the badage to come off by itself
