Maybe people are afraid of the existence of God being true because that would mean the existence of Satan would be true. Keep in mind, God did not give us a spirit of fear but he gave us a spirit of power

Being convinced of the existence of God does not assure the existence of Satan ... or at least not the common perception of Satan. He exists, but just not in the way most think he does.

I think the answer is plain and simple and has nothing to do with fear? How can you fear something you know nothing about? Demons feared Jesus because they knew he had power. Mankind is blinded to God or Jesus having power because they do not even know if he does exist. Because they were not called to this knowledge. God calls people to Jesus, this is not a thought a man just comes to so do not blame anybody for what they do not know. Adam didn't go running for God, so why should any of his children. God looks for us we do NOT look for God. But also mankind is in Image of God and Satan did not lie when he said you will become as Gods knowing good and evil; Genesis 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
So a god does not have any reason to fear. Here is what God says about these people; 2 Peter 2:12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; Jude 1:10 But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.

The existence of God does NOT, in any way, require the existence of Satan.

I don't have anything to fear. I've lead a responsible life.

If there is a Christian God, and he judges me based on who I am and what I've believed, and condemns me to Hell, I'll have no one to blame but myself for standing firm in my beliefs.

As for Satan, eh, if I'm going to Hell, my opinion of Satan really won't matter, will it?

Personally, I'd like to think if God exists that he wouldn't be so petty, but that's just me.

You have some weird ideas.
How about this game; Look for every passage that refers to Satan then look at the current laws and try to indict Satan for a felony. Then try it for God. Don't forget genocide, rape and incest.

I think people are afraid to admit that God is real, because they do not want to give up their sin filled lifestyle.

no. but i do fear being the stupid, mindless follower of a silly bible cult.

thanks for asking, though. cheers!

i do fear the delusions that people have, too -- the ones where they thnk they know god and what god wants everyone to do.
