If by tea You infer the black tea, so both, coffee and black tea are stimulants to our metabolism.

If You have proper nutrition levels, plus the stimulus of coffee or black tea, You will be behaving more active, awake, alert... but

If your natural energy and nutrition levels are not OK, the stimulus action of both beverages will accelerate your metabolism, promoting different reactions modifying behaviors, abilities, and actions, movements. As the body system does not have the proper and good enough energy level, there is a kind of overuse of the human system, provoking a kind of nervousness that can be confused as a wave of energy, but is really an hyper stimulation.

Because the lack of reall energy is present, after some time the body will be really over used o tired, and whit negative balance on the personal energy. This kind of reactions are not good enough, so black tea or coffee, without the proper nutrition state are not a good option.

If by tea You imply the wide variety of herbal teas, and some are medicinal, therapeutic or remedies, so the best option will be those herbal teas with therapeutic benefits, not merely an stimulant.

I would say coffee because there are some healthy tea's that you can drink (of course they to have caffeine) ... I have actually cut both along with sodas out of my life (by choice) for health reasons. I now drink 6 to 8 bottles of Dasani Lemon flavored water a day. I actually mixed my energy drink in with it twice a day (8am & Noon). I drink a new energy drink that recently hit the market. It is the first energy drink to come out in the form of a powder so it's ez to carry (the pouch fits nicely in a pocket or a purse) and it's ez to mix as you just add it to your beverage of choice. I just pour it in the bottle shake it up and enjoy. It is awesome and extreme natural energy. If you or anyone else would like a couple of FREE SAMPLES check out my profile or the below link

Coffee is worse unless you drink decaf; on the other hand you can drink herbal tea that has no caffeine and have health benefits of ginseng or ginkoboloba.

Health wise, Tea is better for you.

I prefer coffee for the caffine, the richness, and the so many ways I can buy it. Tea is just...plain.

Well maybe coffee, i drink them both, but think tea is better for you if you drink green or black decaf tea, and you should also drink decaf coffee.

Coffee, if you make it the wrong way, it's disgusting, whereas you can't go far wrong with tea, just dilute it or steep it some more.
