What would it take for the general population to stop being discriminate towards Muslims? A t-shirt saying "I AM NOT A TERRORIST" or always having to carry a Candian/American/British flag? What do you REALLY think would help people's negative views on Islam? (any comments that say things like "maybe they should stop blowing things up" or "Islam is stupid and full of suicide bombers" are pointless and irregardless, as only a very small percentage of so-called Muslims carry out these acts).

Even yourself are being discriminatory towards muslims just by saying... "only a very small percentage of so-called Muslims carry out these acts"... All terrorists aren't Muslim.

sadly there will not be a time (anytime soon) that the general population will stop discriminating against muslims. Its like with any other race or religion, once the hate starts it takes a long time to end. and it starts so quickly but refuses to leave. So please dont continue to be bent out of shape about it. I understand what you are going through. My religion cost me my job at one point, because my boss hated my religion. however, you have to be the bigger and better person, and the better example to those around you. people learn the most through example, so showing them a different side to the muslim views may change many peoples hearts. good luck and Im sorry that so many people carry grudges and hate for so long. ( Not that i agree with what the suicide bomber are doing... I just know that not all muslims are like that, and thats something few people seem to know.)

Okay, try to reverse this and imagine it's some other group trying to blow up innocent civilians here in N. Am. or in Europe - let's say it's a powerful and well organized group of Hassidic Jews. They have some beef with Western society and are going to kill frequently and indiscriminately in marketplaces, schools, subways. And we know it's Hassidic Jews, because that radical group of Hassidic Jews has claimed responsibility. And they declare they want to bring down this awful society. Do you think it would be safe to LOOK like a hassidic Jew - long hair, black clothes, black hat? Would you really not fear ANYONE who looked like a Hassidic Jew? That's what we're dealing with. A group unlike us, who hates us, and they have a specific religion and a similar appearance.

alright i feel its my personal opinion whom i discriminate toward now in America we discriminate toward almost everyone born an not born in this country. Still to this day whites discriminate toward black. blacks toward everyone that they think family might have owned a slave 100 years ago. I cant help it that i shy away from people of your culture. if you were raped by a white male i bet you would kinda stay clear of the white man. it wasn't your people that got killed in a tower or in a plane. if the tables were turned and our country was that shallow you would feel the same about Americans.

you Muslims don't know what discrimination is. Think about it, if there really was so much islamophobia in the west, why are more and more Muslims trying to live here everyday?

"Irregardless" is not a word. Case in point.
