The problem is that you're using grape juice that's not meant (traditionally) for making wine. I'm going to venture a guess that you used baking yeast instead of wine yeast, too. It's not going to taste like commercial wine unless you use comparable ingredients.
As rudimentary as it sounds, what you make and what it tastes like depends on its ingredients.
Here are some good resources for making wine at home.

Pick through the details and compare what they're advising to what you've already done. See what's different and where it could possibly work to improve on what you've already done.
Either way, you're off to a pretty good start...getting the technique down and what the results are like. Just keep at it and as you change your ingredients and tools, you'll see how it improves. If you want to step it up, do a google search for home brewing suppliers in your area. If there aren't any, on of my favorit online suppliers is http://morewinemaking.com

According to which concentrated juice you used and the type of yeast. That recipe is a simple recipe, and doesn't produce a very good wine. Some store bought juices have Vit. C added which can hinder fermintation. Maybe post a more informed report of your recipe and we can see if there is anything different to do. I will say that my recipe calls for (2) cans of juice in a gallon container. Good luck

medicinal taste in wine can be attributed to low acid must, There is no fix for this, next time test the pH. I would recommend using fresh organic ingredients and high quality yeasts and maybe some better equipment. If you are going to invest so much time and effort you might as well make bigger batches and a decent end product. don't give up wine making can be a very rewarding hobby and fun (if everything goes well)
