I know this may sound silly but in my family if we have a dream 3 times in a row the dream turns to reality. And this happens quite frequently. What I would suggest is see a psychiatrist and see about getting hypnotized and see what happens. He may just have a fear of something and it comes out in your dreams. Good Luck!

haha yea you named it right it is out of body exsperience and he needs to get books and read up on how to master it and then he can control where if any where he wants to go and be safe. But yea he is in danger cause he does not know how to control it or how and there are evil forces in the world that will try to keep one out of there body. Once one knows how to deal with other enities in different planes then this can be a powerful tool if he wants it to be. visit people that died, or relive a certain time while one sleeps but for limited time spans you say he talks about going through walls that is normal in obe's the body jerking I think some enity was pulling him from his body or he was trying to release himself from his body in a very very relaxed state.
I suggest he read up on obe's and how to control and move once out of body and encountering different enities rater they be evil or good these enities can be earth bound and not of this world too the book will tell him about these. and no it is not a illness
Ithink maybe he needs a exoricisum perform on him he might have an evil enity after him. maybe not it might be him too just hitting on part of obe's but not enough to understand it. and that is dangerious

I would recommend talking to a doctor to see if they can't recommend some assistance for him. It is not uncommon to have vivid dreams, but having them follow through into waking life is not normal. Best of luck with him.
