I would say France and Spain.
When ive visited both these countries ive on several occassions had to jump back onto the path or "run" across the road on a zebra crossing. The drivers are careless and seem to have no thought for those of us using the crossing. Alot of the time they wont even stop, they just keep going.

The worst is the United Kingdom as they are ignored there.
Many cars will just not stop for zebra crossings.
India not as they have not as many.
Also most accidents in the UK occur near traffic lights for pedestrians.
The lowest in Germany as people even wait in front of a red traffic light as a pedestrian if there is no car to see....which sounds stupid but is good as sometimes car might suddenly appear from a curve.
(In the United Kingdom people even cross the traffic light when they see a car approaching on purpose..it is a sort of "sports" to rush over the road).

I would say a toss up between France and Spain as on several occasions while driving in those countries i have stopped at crossings and either been tupped from behind; or the pedestrians look like you are kidding. They then wait for you to move off and sneak round the back to make sure they're safe. I think in both countries pedestrians close their eyes when crossing and hope for the best. And most drivers over there look like competitors in "Death Race 2000"

retep g you have just described the best way to cross the street and you'd be surprized to know the UK has three time more pedestrians killed than spain simply because they simply expect motorists to magically stop but magic does not exist and they often get run over. Yes they are in the right but nobody told them that's no good if they are dead.

i would say african countries dont have laws..specially if you see my country Tanzania..you can be crush before even stepping on zebra cross cause here they are no such rules and reguration... apart from africa when i came to london i saw people obey laws for zebra cross..whenever i put my foot in zebra cross each car passing next to it, gets stop..and trust me i found this place better

Take it you were being serious.
I believe England is one of the worst countries for it in Europe, it was on the radio the other day.
Seems like its at least every week in the Midlands there's someone knocked down an killed, usually by someone who does'nt stop.
