I have experimented with quite a few different inks and so far none of them have glowed in the dark. The phosphorus needed is toxic and therefore you don't want it in your body. As for the black light inks. They are OK at first, but all of the ones I have used have faded real bad over time, and so they would need touched up about every 6 months or so.

They can, but a special ink is used. The same goes for black light reactive tattoos. The ink in these tattoos normally starts rejecting after a few monthes to a year, sometimes sooner. Many people that get tattoos done with this ink experience allergic reactions, making red rashes and scarring occur. Tattoo artists have been messing around with ink for awhile now, trying to find one that glows and doesn't harm anyone, but so far, no success.

No - that's a myth. Inks can glow in the dark but not the sort that permeates the skin in tattoo art.

There is no such thing as glow in the dark tattoos but it is possible to use ink that will seem to glow in black lights or uv lights.

Black light tattoo ink comes closest, and its horrible! It has a high rate of allergic reactions, is hard as hell to get in the skin, and discolors. Nasty.
Otherwise, I love my tattoos. They are deeply personal to me.
