No, but I know many who were. If they were in love with the women, they had a hard time falling out of love not to mention that their hearts got broken in the process. Women sometimes adulate guys, love their qualities, and see them as everything they want in a partner--- but don't fall in love with them. These kinds of issues wreak havoc with the feelings of men and women. It's called emotional homicide and the worst of all unrequited love.

Went well actually. Got to hang out with her as friends and it was fun and a genuinely good time. Sure, you do think you are trying to win her back and maybe you are, but you know in the back of your mind that it may or may not ever happen. You have to know that and don't let it stop you from dating other people. If you enjoy being just friends with her, then it can be rewarding.

I was friends with a girl for about two years and she had a boyfriend. I fell in love with her, and when she broke up with her man we started dating. Now I'm not friends with either of them. It sucks because we had a great friendship and if I could do it all over again I take the friendship over the sex any day. I still miss her.

Yes, but it seems like he didn't want to be friends with me. Maybe it was because he noticed I was into him.
But men are different and our stories our different so I wouldn't advise you NOT to be friends with the person you're in love with.
