The number one reason most people "love" to smoke is that they are addicted to it. It feels so good to put out the craving that has been building up since the last cigarette. Often they are in denial about this addiction and won't admit it, so claim this "love" instead. Often they use cigarettes instead of learning unharmful ways of handling anger, or sadness, etc. Tobacco is a physical and emotional pain killer. It also puts sugar in the blood and I suspect changes the hormones in the body and helps to keep weight down. I quit cold turkey (15 years ago) when I found out it clears the body in only 3 days - after that it is all a mind battle. From a former smoker who now has emphysema and lung cancer, take it from me it is worth finding better ways of meeting your needs.

It is so hard to explain. If you don't smoke, don't start. Its not worth it. But there are so many satisfying things about it. When you are stressed, you smoke a cig, it calms you down. You're drinking, its the perfect compliment. You need a break from work, you take 10 minutes. It gives you something to do when you are bored.
There are a million answers and none at all really. Its not a good idea. Everyone knows that, but its a damn good and satifying crutch.

I can't see any.
I remember sometime long ago, the ads for smokers would pretent a smoker looks "smart", with their "pose".
What a childish bull...
If I could be a magic for just a minute!
I am sure all the thousands of employees of smoking factories around the world would find another job.

I quit this spring after 26 yrs of smoking I can say the withdraw is with me always! Like any drug the users wish they didn't but crave the instant gratification.

There is nothing desirable about smoking
its just a craving for nicotine

Nicotine effects the brain in a similar way that haroine does. Powerful stuff...people who smoke on a regular basis KNOW that its bad for them. It is extremely difficult for people to quit that habbit.

There isn't any really. A lot of people use it to keep their weight down. They smoke instead of eat.

it's inexpensive, it gives you a great new smell to your clothes and hair, and you never offend anyone that doesn't smoke! It is also healthy, and makes your teeth white.

ooops, Today isn't opposite day is it?

I (non smoker) agree with you 100%.
I HATE IT HATE IT HATE IT.

& I hate when ignorant smokers throw their butts out car windows. Do they think birds are going to use it for making nests?

grrrr

Avoiding the pain and anguish your body will unleash on you if you deny it it's nicotine. That's basically why people smoke.
