My girlfriends mom's truck's horn started honking randomly this afternoon. It's never done this before. The only thing that has happened to it lately is the windows were left down during a heavy rainstorm. I have no wiring diagrams or anything for this truck and any ideas would help. Thanks!

Yeah, I know it's a Dodge, of which I am not a fan myself. My old '88 F-150 can haul more than this Dodge can. But 90% of all Dodges are still on the road, the other 10% made it home. We tried disconnecting the battery, but soon as we hooked it back up it honked again. Piece of crap.

My dad has a '04Hemi 1500 and I love it but I wouldn't buy one myself, sorry prefer newer Fords and older Chevys.
It might be possible that the horn relay is going bad or the switch in the steering wheel is messed up. Take the thing into the Dealer, being '04 it should still have a warranty if not, Call the Manufacture Dodge if they would cover it being so new.

i had an old cadi that had the same problem. when it got rained in, the steering wheel got wet id bet. the horn has a pad surrounding it on the wheel, that holds moisture for a long time. as the temperature in the vehicle changes, it puts pressure on the switch due to the expanding moisture. you can try to take the wheel pad apart and dry it completely, or just replace it and the problem should go away.

Yea I omit my 2001 Hemi truck, once I drove it it velocity up so speedy that it could outrun maximum autos and autos even matching corvettes. the ingredient is it eats up a superb variety of gasoline! once I fill up the tank like $40 (it grew to become into in 2002 while gasoline grew to become into like $a million.89 rattling Bush) drove it to Galveston I stay in Houston and once I got here decrease back it grew to become into already a million/4 of gasoline tank! I had it for coach yet for you it seems which you necessary for paintings so i might evaluate getting a known V8 commonplace. The hemi I commerce it for a quicker diesal ram 2500
