It irks the h*** out of me!

Unfortunately I am guilty of this myself. I always really intend to keep in touch but usually it "out of sight, out of mind." Needless to say I don't keep many long term friends like this. Bad habit.

It used to. Now, over 40 it doesn't!

If the person is important to me, I'll make the effort to stay in touch. If they don't want to then so be it.

Kindergarten kids have it right --- they change friendships a lot depending on what they are doing and don't get upset if someone isn't their friend anymore!

Yes, it irks me, but having moved around alot I've learned that some people are "keeper-in-touchers" and others aren't. I don't take it personally UNLESS it's a guy and he says "I'll call you" at the end of a first date. Men are chicken shits, but I guess that's another topic...

That's usually b/c of one of two reasons: 1) they're not interested in you enough to stay in touch 2) They initially plan to stay in touch, and the life "gets in the way" as they caught up in day to day living and problems. And, yes I hate it. It makes me wonder what is wrong with me that they shunned me.

It doesn't bother me too much. People are busy, but that doesn't mean that they don't care. I don't always write to people when I'm thinking about them, but I still care about them. I like to give other people the benefit of the doubt.

If they are someone I like, yes. If they are someone I don't care about, I thank the Lord they didn't.

well it depends how close you are with the person...if you guys were best friends and the moved, then yes....but if you were just friends with the person, then it won't matter so much to me
