He plays with his toys eats drinks and seems fine, but howls around the house like crazy what does this mean is he in heat?

cats like the sound of their own voices sometimes. My cat will all of a sudden scream profanity at a wall, the only thing you can do to stop them is distract them, play with them and they settle down and forget how pissed off they are at the damn wall :)

Yes-he is in heat. They make insane noises when in heat. Get him/her fixed right away before the spraying starts.

feed him several Benedryl tablets, knock his azz out so he'll stfu and I don't have to go outside and shoot him!!!
