I like this guy that I've known for a while...I have called him a few times & he's always really glad to talk with me. He's also came by my house once. WHY doesn't he ask me out? I do the calling. I don't understand because I think he likes me.

He probably doesn't want a ready-made family (I'm assuming by your username that you have children).
I have 20 guy friends that I regularly hang with to play sports and stuff, and every last one of them steers clear of all single women with children. In fact when they talk about it, they talk as if those two words are capitalized and in quotes "With Children", as if they are coded swear words.
Continue to talk to him, if that is what you want. But stop pursuing him. He hasn't asked you out because he doesn't want the baggage. It's best if you move on.

same thing here. except that the guy i like likes me also. the thing is some guys arent all brave. they might be afraid and dont want their feelings to get hurt. My boyfriend well ex, asked me out ecause i gave hints. i was like what happens when two close friends ask each other out? if i say it was me what would you do? and he was happy that i wanted to be with him so he liked that i was brave. and you should too. give him hints, but dont be to obvious :] good luck.

u will think ne thing ... thinkkkkk from ur brain and not from heart or else u will b hurted if he doesnt ask u out it means he has no feelings for u if he had he would have guys never miss the opportunity or he might b shy god knows

I was in the same situation a little while ago...turns out he was using me to get back with his x...he just wanted to use me as the bait lets say...he wanted her to be jealous, also he needed to do something in the meantime, so when his girlsfriend decided she wanted him back he ignored me and we havent talked since....
just be carefull and don't give in
