the drug disulfiram used in treatment of alcoholism..why does it leave the patient feeling ill when they take it?

All drugs, regardless of whether over the counter or prescription, have the possibility of causing side effects. This does not mean that it will, but for those that do experience them, the amount can be from very little to a great deal.
Most times the milder side effects will diminish with time as the body gets use to the medication, If it does not, or if the side effects are bad, the doctor needs to be consulted.
Disulfiram produces an acute sensitivity to alcohol and so the patient must make sure they do not have alcohol in their system. Besides beverage alcohol, including those so called non-alcoholic beer type beverages which contain a small amount, regardless of the label. There are also other sources of alcohol in such products as some cough medicines, perfumes, etc. You need to avoid any and all products with alcohol from being ingested, inhaled, or absorbed through the skin.
If you continue to experience side effects from using Disulfiram consult your doctor.

Just checked my little book of medicine and the side effects section is quite a bit. It says Disulfiram can cause drowsiness, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, halitosis, reduced libido, psychotic reactions, skin reactions, peripheral nerve and liver damage. It also warns that it should not be given to patients with certain heart disorders or who are pregnant. It must not be used in conjunction with medications or toiletries containing some form of alcohol. Not been funny mate but maybe you should stick to the thunderbird!

also they're doing thermal scans of persons as they stroll by the airport, loopy ****. we stay in situations that reason ailment and then attempt to cover from the diseases. we somewhat favor to seem to the animal kingdom to get perspective on ourselves because they somewhat dont have any of the diseases we've..............and they dont wash their fingers!
