The other answer about the side effects is good. If you do have the decreased appetite be sure to eat a little something anyway, even if it's just an apple, because if you don't eat all day you'll feel horrible in the afternoon and eat everything in sight.

Another side effect is an increase in aggression, so if you have an anger management problem, be very careful.

You might feel calmer after taking it, but you might also feel a little fuzzy - it all depends on how it works for you and finding the right med and dosage.

You might also be a bit irritable, ask a friend to let you know if you're acting cranky.

Sleeping can sometimes be a problem. You may be really tired and fall asleep easily, or you might have a really hard time falling asleep, so be prepared either way.

My son felt a little woozy and fuzzy headed at the beginning, but then he had some breakfast and settled down. When it kicked in he felt like his mind slowed down to where it was managemable, because he had such a hard time turning off this thoughts.

If you don't feel good on it be sure to tell a parent and your doctor.

Good luck!

as with all stimulants the most common side effects are decreased appetite, headache, rebound effect ( which means after the med wears off you may feel more hyper than before taking it), insomnia.the list goes on, but after a while the side effects start to decrease. good-luck!
