man was created to have union with others. Isolation has never proved itself to be of value

Well if it were me, I'd prefer company in prison, especially from the one I love. Because being in the wrong position to love a man who keeps going to prison, I'd visit that man every week or as often as I am able to, depending on where he is in my state, and it's a big state. At least he's not ever alone as long as my heart is with him and I can see him and talk to him. Because if he left the world, I'd want to leave too. At least I can see him, hear him, feel him(his heart and soul) and touch him! And those are some of the most important affairs of the heart there will ever be. That's what it takes! However, if this your case, and everyone's is different, just go. If it's a thing that is over then please don't put yourself through it! It is a very hard thing to do and sometimes you may not feel like doing it anymore...and believe me it can be the wrong choice, but the choice is ONLY yours to make! You only live once so do it with someone you love more than life! Then again I know who is there when it's time to come home and home is where the one you love always belongs...

If the company was just a a random person, I would choose walking alone in freedom, I am basically a loner who values my privacy. I don't need a persons company to b OK.
But if the company were my husband, then I would choose jail, he n I can talk n laugh forever plus we both hv a "make the best of it" attitude so I think we would b ok in that situation.

great ques! very original.

I'd frankly probably choose to walk the earth in freedom all alone simple because I'm sort of a private person and like solitude. One friend of mine actually calls me a "monk."

Another reason is best summed up by a saying of a friend of mine at work who says: "I'd rather be miserable and single than miserable and married."

Wow! great question! I love this kind of things that really make you think.... I would choose company in prison, I mean, it would suck to be in jail but why would I want to be free if I couldn't have anything to enjoy while I'm out there?

The latter, because there would be no one to influence me in any way. I could enjoy the earth and all that is in it without any harassment from anyone. Sure it might be lonesome at times but have you never felt alone in the midst of a crowd?

None of these conditions is better, if we are still living in the prison of self.
We should learn to save ourself from the prison of self in order to realize that we can be happy everywhere in the immensity of the universe or in the private chamber of our soul.

Depends. Does the company include guards? Does the company include women (guards and/or minor offense inmates)?

If the "company" is just hardened criminals (felons), I think I'd rather be by myself.

Why? So I wouldn't have to put up with being surrounded by felons and only felons.

Company in prison. Life isn't worth living unless you have someone to share it with in one sense or another.

Freedom.

Why? I could never be sure what other people are going to do, particularly if I and they are both prisoners and I'd have to sleep some time......
