That is a rough situation, I actually had one of my tattoos messed up to the point where you could barely see what i wanted there anymore. You have a couple of options now, you could run for surgery and have it removed, which is a perfectly viable option. However, I am sure you looked into the risks of tattoos before you sat for one, make sure you do the same for laser removal surgery. You could find something to alter your tattoo, or perhaps another artist may be able to modify it, if you still want it i would check around at other studios with a good reputation. If nobody can fix it, and you do not want to remove it, i suggest finding a good coverup (i have a few) or just accepting the way it turned out. Getting tattoos has a lot of risks, not all of them health related. And i suggest that although most artists mess up now and again, that you do thorough research before sitting for another one.

I suppose you would have to get it covered up or have it lasered off. I'm sure every artist has made his or her fair share of mistakes, but small things like are okay, large things (i.e. misspelling) are not.

If an artists screwed up my tattoo, the session would immediately stop and they wouldn't be getting much money for their work.

Ya it will be on you for life. That's why you find some one that knows what they are doing and has allot of happy customers. Word of mouth is the best way to find a good tattoo artist.

first of all that is your fault for getting a tattoo by someone who it obviously not that experienced but you should either get it covered up with another tattoo by someone who knows what they are doing or you should get it removed... they have laser removal for tattoo, real expensive but if the dumbass messed up the tat that bad then it might be a good idea... you should also get your money back...

Any good artist can and will screw up from time to time. No one is perfect, what makes the good ones good though is that they cover it up, or modify things to were it is not noticeable.

First you say hey you are "F" ing it up. Then you beat the s h i t out of him or her. Then call a lawyer if it can't be fixed. At least you got a free tattoo.
