i have natural black hair (never been dyed before) and i want to colour it?

should i colour it yes or no
if so what colour (what colour looks best on people with naturally black hair)
should i do the whole head or just highlights
i think in order to get any colour on my hair i have to bleach it -is this true, if so should i bleach it or what?

Well high lights usually look good when the rest of your hair is also dyed like a lighter color, chestnut brown for example to compliment the even lighter shade of blonde highlights. But if you have to ask these questions its better to go to a professional salon and get thier advice.

Well, I'm a bit unconventional when it come to beauty, so be prepared. Personally, I think black hair is usually the prettiest hair color. It's dramatic yet sophisticated and if it's styled well, it can grab attention just as well as platinum blond or auburn hair can without the draw backs of stereotypes and tricky color coordinating. (I know. I'm blond and I get washed out by almost anything.)
If you're dead set on dying your hair, then be sure to remember the following: 1) go for something dark, there's nothing quite as tacky as black roots showing under platinum blond dye. 2) Bleaching your hair involves very harsh chemicals that can really damage your scalp. 3) If you're brave (or crazy) enough to want to try something unusual (i.e. blue or pink), try highlights first. Personally, I think a streak of emerald green on black hair is quite pretty, but as I said, I'm a bit unconventional. 4) Remember your age. This is not to say that women in their fifties have to look frumpy!!! I am a big supporter of life long beauty. I know many women who are far prettier than I am and are three decades older. But these women don't wear glitter lip gloss either. Some looks are appropriate for specific ages while others are timeless.

I use to dye my hair all the time but I missed my darker hair after awhile & now my natural color is finally grown out. I think that if you were to color your hair you should get highlights & go from there. Also because your hair is so dark I wouldnt suggest that you do it yourself because you might get an orange color that you dont want

If your going to color do Highlights and just a few in the brown shade any lighter and it will not look good. By keeping it in just a few shades lighter it would still look beautiful and shiny I imagine that it is sense you never colored.

dude u shouldn't black hair is the best it's awesome, ppl like me wish they had black hair but mines only stinking brown :( but do u know how many ppl spend tons of money just to get black hair? A lot of ppl.

just highlights, if anything!!! bleach could cause your hair to turn orange and you want to be able to salvage your head in case that happens. but I'd leave it alone...how many people pay for black hair?

i personally imagine your hair would e damaged. My sister has dyed hers and a pair circumstances it has grew to grow to be out undesirable. also her hair is broken badly. in case you do dye your hair make constructive you visit the right human being and do not get clumps of pink. Its all of your concept you're making the alternative i understand you'll make the right one.

It depends what colour eyes you have.If you have brown don't go blonde I don't think blonde hair brown eyes look good.Maybe a brown hair dye?

i don't think u should dye ur hair but then again i had brown hair as i was born so i wated to change it was getting boring but i just say don't becuase i like black hair
