Many theists when giving "proof" of god say to me..."well you exist because of god".....this is ludacrious to me. I am only proof that female humans exist. My daughter, while beautiful and amazing is simply proof that I, like other animals can procreate.

So the question is this....how are any of us proof of god's existence? and why does there have to be an explanation and reason for everything?

Well, it all depends on how you define God, doesn't it?

Nobody can prove that some old bearded man up in the clouds created you. Some people might have that as their image of God.

Some people don't have the same sort of definition of God that you seem to have. You seem to think that God is something outside of yourself, a separate entity. Some people don't think that way.

Some people view God as the creative force that creates all things. By that definition of course God exists. If God is what creates life, and you are life, than God exists. Do you see what I mean?

I think you're just stuck on semantics.

Anyway, it doesn't really matter what we believe. Beliefs are just thoughts passing through.

You are what observes your self. Some people call that God.

I think you're right. You don't have to have an explanation or reason for everything. That would be way beyond anyone's capabilities anyway. And even that can be someone's definition of God. That which is unknown.

Why even care what theists say?

It's human nature to question things. We';re curious little monkeys that have to figure out how everything works. Once something is mastered it's on to the next. This will never end.

And the oldest of these questions is where did we come from? How do we exist?

We are supposedly made in Gods image. Who said that means this form we have now? Do you really think we've stopped evolving? Nothing ever stops evolving. That's the nature of living. Survival on our planet. We adapt. We haven't been here very long in universal time. In time, we may not look very much like our current selves at all. Maybe more like God??

Wow! You existence neither proves nor disproves God's existence. Can you imagine God, by any definition, saying I will prove my existence by creating or evolving hominids into Humans?

What are these people saying? How can they say there is no proof? There is a proof, but you cannot prove it to others; You can only prove it to yourself,

and it is not by faith, it is by a real physical, mental, and emotional experience that will make you jump for Joy and cry with Happiness.

You may not be ready, but if you ever want to see if God exists, just mentally talk to God and ask him to send you the Holy Spirit to witness to you: physically, mentally, and emotionally.

You really don't need much faith to try that. In fact, it seems the further you are away from a church building, the easier it is for you to start that conversation with God.

If you are sincere, God will answer you (by mental telepathy), but he will not start or initiate a conversation with you. Why? If he did such a thing, it would intimidate you and thusly take away your free will to believe or not believe in him (his message)

And just what is his message?

Harmony is harmony.

Disharmony is the only sin against God.

Of course you're no proof, and proof can't exist -

when you try to interpret fiction as fact you need suspension of disbelief - also known as "faith".

Nobody will point to any proof, because it's impossible; they will say there's proof, tell you to talk to somebody else or read something else, or make wild assumptions, or use circular logic (the bible tells us god is real, and the bible is real because god wrote it) or other logical fallacies.

No living thing is proof of god's existence. And there is no reason for anything. I feel bad for children who require a purpose or reason.

what came first the chicken or the egg? what came first the female or the male?it all had to start somewhere by something.
why love one another why not just procreate? there must be a god of love to create us to love our sons and daughters and not just procreate to make more.all human tracings from ancient times worshiped some god. if want proof just look at your daughter and tell her you love her. and see if any animal can do that?

God must have created you (or at least His original design with Adam and Eve.). If evloution were true, then like all good evolutionists, the Big Bang Theory was the start of life.

Did you ever hear of anything other than noise that was created in an explosion?

Read "The God Dellusion" by Richard Dawkins. In that book he deals with these idiotic logical fallacies and much more.

faith.....there is no answer to this.simply because the"proof"is allegedly based on faith that god exists and he wrote a book on the past and the future.well it is a good book.but on that alone the "free will"thing conflicts with an absolute faith that the "good book"isn't fiction.there is no answer...no reason...some people just believe it to be.

If you want the proof of God's existence then get this book, Faith & Reason at this link: http://www.justcatholicbookstore.com/site/1607131/product/421-8219192.

Obviously your question can't be answered with one liners or even single paragraphs.
