she may not at until tomorrow--that is ok--my vet always tells me the kitty will be sleepy and not feeling too well after that injection--he did not eat until the next day. sleeping is ok, too. if it goes on longer than 24 hours, i would phone the vet to verify the reaction is within normal limits.

I agree with the Vet tech as well. I have had 6 furbabies in my life. Only once did they have a reaction but it was also to one of the other vaccinations. Did they have a combo of shots today? And I would also take them to the VET for a check As soon as you can. Especially if there is any swelling, rash or difficulty breathing or trouble being comfortable. You might even call one of the Emergency Vets in your clinic or take him first thing in the morning. I have learned it is better to be Safe than sorry when it comes to loved ones of any kind. Moniter him, and see if you can coax him to eat at all. If he's too glassy or wide eyed his sugar might be low, a wee drop or two of Clear Karosyrup might help stabilize but not hurt them. I hope they will be better soon.

keep an eye on him and if he doesn't eat within 24 hours call the vet. Pets can be just like people, they may have a slight reaction to a shot and just not feel like eating or playing for a little bit. If you're at all worried about him don't hesitate to call your vet, they will answer your questions and put your mind at ease, it's their job!

Often animals show signs of sleepiness after shots, they may even have some fever during the day after it. Of course, ask the vet who gave her the shot because they don't usually stop eating, and it's better to be safe than sorry.

When my dog and cat get their vaccines they are usually lethargic afterwards. If your Cat doesn't eat in the next 24 hrs or doesn't drink within the next couple of hours, take him back to the vet it may be a bad reaction to the rabies serum.
Best of Luck.

well. they usually feel a little hurt after the shot and they get this kind of allergic reaction. try and see if your cat is not active for 24 hours. if he doesn't move he might be injures its because he might be a little diseased because of the shot might have had something wrong in it that the doctors didn't see and he will be dead if you don't take him to the hospital.

This does sound like an allergic reaction. You need to call the vet or get him to a 24 hour vet hospital NOW!

Wouldn't you do this? I would. Eeah... needles... Get him checked after a few hours depending on how much he normally eats. If it was my cat i would worry after 3 hours. He's fat. don't trust vets unless you're really worried. They will give you un-neccesery traeatments for money.
