Do you really think that is what your religion is all about?

Humanism is not a bad word, in fact, the Holy Father just used it. I believe the Catholic church has a very good (probably the best, but His All Holiness and the Dalai Lama are good to) understanding of Humanism.

If the "you" offended you, then it probably wasn't meant for you.

You're just filled with Christ's love aren't you.

I was raised Christian (am not now) and we were raised to "do unto others as you would have done unto you" ....but at the same time, we felt the need to spread the "word of God" to everybody else so they wouldn't go to Hell, because they were wrong and we were right and those poor people neede guidance.
However, most Christians are so adamant about making sure you know that you're going to hell, that they couldn't fathom the idea that we all know we're right too. And in defending christianity, SOME (not all) get very rude and do treat you like crap and like you're just plain ignorant for not believing in their beliefs. Especially when confronted with serious questions they can't answer. But you will find that in ALL religions. Because every religion thinks they are right. Tolerance needs to be taught instead of fear or hatred (with all religions or beliefs).

If I treat people of other religions like crap because I think they are going to hell, I can be sure that I'll end up there with them. God loves are human beings and so should I.

Christians are commanded to be involved in trying to bring all of their human brothers and sisters into heaven. That is what apologetics is all about. Remember (or did you know?) that Jesus told his followers to love their enemies and to pray for them.

Ezekiel 18:23 - paraphrase -- God does not take pleasure in the death of the wicked -- but rather that the wicked should turn from their path and live.

If you're talking about Christianity, any Christian who treats anyone badly isn't really as Christian as they try to make themselves out to be. You shouldn't ever be mean to anyone, even if they're against what you are. Christians actually should be kinder to them and more open to talk because the job of the Christians is to spread the word of the gospel. Doesn't matter what kind of person that is.

Actually (1) you shouldn't treat anyone like crap and (2) you do not know they are going to hell. If they were raised on believing in a particular god then its easily understandable that they wouldn't believe in your god. Doesn't mean you should make fun of them.

I think that people should be treated with respect. As a Christian I know that all humans are God's creation. Religion has nothing to do with it.

I do not treat people of other faiths like crap. I love them and I don't want them to go to Hell. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. That is why I try to show them the truth and get them to accept the truth so that they don't have to go to Hell.

It must be, because so many do it, and those that don't, are thinking thoughts of superiority. You can see it on their faces, and in their manner. That is why I rarely discuss my beliefs with people who wouldn't understand, or who are convinced that I am going to hell, if I don't accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.

I don't treat people like crap. I don't know who is going to hell. I would only be guessing, only God knows that. I do know what God expects of us according to the Bible. That still wouldn't cause me to treat anybody like crap. How do you treat people?
