You have to be careful with the verbage. Proof is something iron clad, something you can hang your hat on. When dealing with proving or attempting to disprove God, it is better to use the term "evidence". Proof would be Jesus performing miracles in front of our very eyes, or seeing a miracle or something of that nature, but God does not perform signs and wonders in this present age to "prove" his exhistance. Jesus said an evil generation would look for signs and wonders but will only be given the sign of Jonah". This is in reference to Jonah being in the belly of a fish for 3 days and coming out again alive. Just like Jesus was buried in the earth for 3 days and came out alive again.
You cannot "disprove" God's exhistance any more than I cannot disprove that Egyptian gods exhisted. There will always be a mathmatical probability that it could be true. Even if it is a very slight and small probability you cannot completely discount it entirely.
That is why we must all look at the "evidence". Is there evidence of God? OH YES! Historical, archeological, literary, fulfilled prophecies and the creation of the universe itself, the design shown in the universe. Much evidence is debated on both sides, but you can never ever prove that God does NOT exhist. Some day the truth will be known, but it may never happen in our lifetime. So we must all consider the evidence. I encourage you to look at both sides of the evidence and make a decision of your own and a peice of advice.....be skeptical of the skeptics. We all, all of us human beings, have an agenda. An agenda can be sincere or sneaky. You can have an agenda that in your heart can be sincere, but you can be sincerely wrong as well. Most participants in the debate are honest and speak from their hearts and minds, but no one here on earth is an authority. They speak from what they know. YOU must find out if what they "know" is true. Good luck and God bless.

The physical evidence that God exists is in the things he created. You don't look at a house and say "that must have been made naturally because I don't see the builder that built it." A house is too organized and well built to have been an accident. Archeologists don't dig up a pot and assume that it was a naturally forming accident caused by a very narrow set of events.

Most people never see the germs that cause them to get sick, yet they feel the things they do and believe they are there. Most people will never see God, but his work is all around us.

Knowledge of God is experiential. You'd have a tough time trying to convince Paul that what happened to him on the way to Damascus wasn't "proof" that God exists. I think that he would submit that the result of what happened to him was "physical proof" enough.

However, you did not experience that. And, neither did I.

In our culture, we rely heavily on "factual" experience over "spiritual" experience. We devalue any experience that cannot be witnessed by all or reproduced for all to experience.

Is that where you stand? It is what we are taught in our schools and have reinforced in our colleges and universities. We have little chance to consider anything else.

For those that do not have a knowledge of God, no explanation is satisfactory. For those that do, no explanation is necessary.

Yes there is proof.
I have a strong relationship with Christ and I can now see all the good he does for me. Without the Christian family I have, I believe I would not be healthy like I am today. I could be dead because i have Cystic fibrosis which is a lung disease and I already know kids that have died with it. I am healthy with it and doctors are amazed and I know exactly why, it is because when I was a baby, people laid their hands on me and prayed for me.
Without them.. I don't even want to think about how I'd be today. God is so wonderful and you definitely know He's there once you get that good relationship with Him. He loves you and you should never think of anything to blame Him for, because He is all good and the things that are bad should be blamed on the Devil, for he is who's bad.

Alot of people dont understand the BIBLE, it is full of prophecies, do you know what that means? It means that years before something happens people said it would happen and it did. The birth of JESUS is just one example, there are thousands of prophesies that have already come true. And more that are to come. Look for some websites on the subject and that will prove that GOD is real.

Of course there's no proof - when you try to interpret fiction as fact you need suspension of disbelief - also known as "faith".

Nobody will point to any proof, because it's impossible; they will say there's proof, tell you to talk to somebody else or read something else, or make wild assumptions, or use circular logic (the bible tells us god is real, and the bible is real because god wrote it) or other logical fallacies.

Hahah I love all the answers like, "God created everything, so of course God exists lol!!1!!" That is the most roundabout logic I've ever heard of. There is no proof that God exists. I don't think people are ridiculous for believing in God - it's a matter of faith. Don't try to justify your faith by saying that things are so amazing that there's no explanantion besides an all powerful God.

no
To the person below, moralizing is not proof that God exists.
Along with self preservation as an evolutionary trait, survival of the tribe/species is also part of our instincts. Just because you feel the need to help others in danger or feel reluctant and bad about hurting others, that is NOT proof that God exists.

Matter/energy is ever-present and there is no explanation for its existence. There is no more proof for the existence of the Christian or any other god than there is for the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

There is not one shred of proof that the god creature exists or has ever existed. To assume that some god, my less than intellectual ancestors made up, instantaneously farted the universe into being, is absurd.

how are you able to declare God is the only God? How do you already know God has no dying or actual emotions? How do you already know he hasn't died? you won't be in a position to truly conclusively coach or disprove God. maximum folk will in all probability say the Bible. however the bible is hearsay. you won't be in a position to apply it as sturdy evidence. To get decrease back on your question. it actual relies upon on your definition of existence. Is being alive the only thank you to exist? Does something could desire to be actual to exist? Does something could desire to be seen to exist? reckoning on your answer to what you define as existence will confirm if God exists or not. Your definition is mandatory for me to confirm and answer on your question. define existence for me. and that i will furnish you evidence.
