I would say that you can use 87 octane and not have to worry about it. As far as putting different gas in from other stations, it wont hurt your car but make sure the places aren't watering down your gas. Check your mileage and see which ones you get the most miles out of.

Usually unleaded and yes as long as you put UNLEADED into it.

If you do make a mistake. Do not start the car, call a mechanic and have them pump out the tank.

If you run the car with any other type od gas or fuel (leaded - which is getting harder to find or Diesel) it will destroy your motor and it will cost a lot to have it replaced.

But ANY type of UNLEADED fuel will work. The higher the octane - 89, 95, 98 - the better the car will run.
With lower octane you will get knock and pings coming from the motor.

If you have any other questions, just ask me. I have a 2003 Nissan Altima.

350z is a sports car and a V6. In order to get the full performance you're gonna need the high octane fuel. But if you just bought the 350Z for looks then go ahead and put the 87 octane. With the lower octane im not sure if it will affect ur gas milage (minimal amount) but performance will suffer. My mom has an IS300 and I drove it once day and it drove like a dog. I soon found out that my mom was using 87 instead of the 91/92 octane. So i filled it up and drove it arround to get that fuel circulating and it felt like it was performing substantially better.

Just because its a "93 Nissan it doesn't mean that its a very special car to treat to PREMIUM gas...I say you give it unleaded and if you're willing to pay any gas price, then you can go ahead and put gas from different gas stations...normally we all go to certain favorites because of its low prices...the only ones YOU should avoid are the ones from waltmart, or other stores like that, cuz they often give you water instead of gasoline and totally rip you off!

If you look on the little flap you open to take the gas cap off, it should tell you what kind of gas to put in. You can get gas from any gas station.

regular unleaded gas will work fine, and any brand of gasoline is fine, too. Some people just prefer to buy the same kind all the time; probably just an idiosyncrosy.

You can use any type of unleaded gasoline and it will run fine. The engine control computer is calibrated for regular unleaded so that's what I would go with.
PS - I owned a '93 Altima -- sold it with 160,000 miles and still running like a clock. (sob!)

Check your owners manual. For normal driving conditions Regular 87 Octane should do you just fine. For harsher driving conditions you may use 89 Octane.
