No it's not a sin. God gave you the power of free will. He said you could shoose to believe in whatever you want. A lot of people don't celebrate Christmas. People celebrate Hannukah or Kwanzaa or nothing at all. It's no big deal. It's your choice.

It is not a sin to not celebrate Christmas.
In fact, Annual birthday celebrations were not done by early Christians. The birhtday celebration is a pagan ritual and it was incorporated into the "Christian" faith well after the Bible was finished.
While the birth of a child is a joyous occasion, it was not celebrated annually. God sent his Angels to proclaim the great news of Jesus' birth and they sung in the heavens yet his birthday was not celebrated ever again.
Remember we are born into the world a sinner. Does God like sinners? No he does not. We have our life to show God we love him and if we do listen to God, then we will no longer be sinners. Ecclesiastes 7:1 sums it up the best. "A name is better than good oil, and the day of death than the day of one's being born."
We have our whole life to make a good name with God, so that at our death we will have our sins forgiven if we truly loved God. So our birth is not important beyond being happy for a new life.
So while NOT celebrating Christmas is most definately not a sin, the real question is, Does God consider following a pagan ritual a sin, for that is what Christmas really is. You can easily look into the real beginnings of the Christmas holiday and they have nothing to do with Jesus.

Is Christmas in the Bible? No. People complain that Kwanzaa is "made up". It disgusts me to the core. Where do they think Christmas came from? Santa? Jesus? No, it is an old Scandinavian holiday. I enjoy its festivities and that it brings out the charity and compassion of some, but the reliogisity of it is ridiculous. I am spiritual but equate myself with no religion whatsoever - not Atheism, not Agnosticism, and certainly not anything 'organized'. We as human beings know inherently what sin is. Sin is practicing hatred - NOT telling a white lie, NOT marrying someone you love of the same sex, but spreading intolerance in the name of "God" everywhere. I don't know whether or not Jesus existed but I do know for sure he didn't dictate a book from heaven. I can celebrate the warmth and comfort of Christmas or Hannukah or any other holiday so long as it is clothed in warmth and comfort. I wish people could find a reason for giving every single day and stop owning the atmosphere of generosity by only practicing it on holidays, and often not even then. I do not mean this toward everyone at all, just those who feel their need to be charitable and empathic only encompasses a holiday.
All the best.

Even for Christians....probably not....after all, the early church did not celebrate His birth either. The event celebrated by the early church, and is still the main, highest, and holiest of the Christian holidays is Christ's sacrafice for us on the cross, Easter.
Christmas began to be observed centuries after the church started. It wasn't until the Middle Ages that St. Francis started setting up Manger Scenes.
I don't believe its a sin to skip Christmas if thats what you choose to do. I however am Christian and enjoy celebrating Christmas and the Birth of Christ, so I choose to celebrate. God Bless.
P.S. If you happen to be a Catholic Christian it would be a sin to skip Christmas because on the Catholic Liturgical calendar Christmas Day is a Holy Day of Obligation.

Christmas is a man-made holiday. We are not commanded to celebrate Christmas. I do not celebrate Christmas as a religious holiday or as the birth of Christ simply because it is not a biblical commandment. We do participate in the holidays but not religiously.
We are commanded to come together and remember Christ on the first day of each week, Sunday, not just once a year. We should remember and be thankful for him daily.

I believe that Christ did exist, but was he the Son of God or just a wise man like Budda? That is the question to consider. But if you believe in Christ as your savior, then it might be considered a sin not to celibrate his birth. But I don't think you do believe in him etc. So it wouldn't be a sin for you - but you can still celebrate Christmas as a holiday created by Saint Nickolas when he gave gifts to the poor in Germany. The choice to celebrate the holiday as a christian holiday or just another commercial holiday is up to you.

It's not a sin at all. Some people might try to make ya think so, when ya first try that, though.
But you don't have to let em' get to ya.
It's funny how fast they see things you're way when ya don't. I can't believe it when, for the first time, family and friends actually admit they feel the same way.
And, if you let yourself, though. Ya might end up joining in with there spirit just alittle.
But the more you know ya don't have to, the better of ya our with it.
Good Luck.

It is not a sin to choose not to celebrate a day which in all honesty never occured. Christ was not born from a virgin, nor was he a son of god - there would have to be one for that.
In this day and age, people should embrace the holiday as a time to remember loved ones, and not to think about some dead guy who may or may not have hung from a cross and was born under a star. Really, these days you think people would have realized how full of S#|T organized religion is.

nope it isnt a sin because christmas in general is a sin. it was a pagan celebration of winter called yule orignally. the christian part was added so the pagans could celebrate their traditions without being killed because they could say it was the birthday of jesus they wer celebrating. same with easter it was a paga holiday celebrating spring and fertility (thus the rabbit that has nothing to do with jesus) because rabits are notorius for being baby machines so they wer a cymbol of fertility and life for pagans.
easter and christmas are sins because they wer invented by hethens everyone celebrate a secular x-mas and enjoy life
