Wow...

Joe Rogan used to fight in Tae Kwon Do, he won some State titles and a National Championship or so.

He trains in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Eddie Bravo, at 10th Planet JiuJitsu (he is a brown belt now). He put out the challenge to Snipes, Snipes never took it.

There are a couple videos of him online rolling with guys who challenged him on Myspace. Word is that Joe is pretty good at BJJ. He's been around the MMA sport for a long time (if you can remember far enough or watch, in some of the earlier UFCs he did post fight interviews. (around 97 or so).

Has he ever fought MMA professionally? No. Has he fought boxing, anything like that professionally? Nope.

Just amateur Tae Kwon Do, and trains with a lot of different guys. (He put some reality show guy in a Thai clinch on Fear Factor)

Fear Factor is over btw, still in syndication but the show has ended.

**edit: Eddie Bravo has never "fought" at least not in MMA, he has competeted in several grappling tourneys such as Abu Dhabi and done well, but has hasn't strapped on gloves and fought in MMA or anything with striking to my knowledge.

Rogan would destroy Snipes in a fight...Rogan's stand up is good enough to get in close on Snipes and with his judo background he would be able to take him down and out work him on the ground with Snipes lack of experience on the ground. Anyways...I think a good opponent for Rogan would be someone like Ed Herman or Dean Lister, maybe Pete Sell.

As far as I know Joe does not compete anymore, but he was national TKD champ for a few years in his late teens or early twenties. So, not only does he have the ground game from current training in judo and jitz, but he probably has pretty good striking too. He's a pretty small guy, so I would like to see him fight someone along the level of BJ Penn. Just to see how much he really knows on the ground and how his TKD skills translate into the cage.

Yes, he was a 4 time state champ in taekwondo. He's also good at Brazilian jiu-jitsu. He has never fought in the UFC though.

It is my understanding that he trains or has trained, but I don't think he ever fought mma. There was a rumor that he was suposed to fight Wesley Snipes a few years back, but it never materialized.

I saw the clip on youtube. He definitely is more skilled than i thought. However, he is a horrible announcer on UFC; I liked him much better on fear factor. I hear him say alot of untrue facts while commenting on the fights.
