Do good atheists go to hell?

Haven't they done better than similar Christians by demonstrating Christian values without hope of reward?

of course i am as sure as everyone else is that god is: a)jewish b)catholic, c) protestant, d) islamic, e) buddhist, f) hindu, g) sikh,
h) bahai, i) etc etc etc. will allow a good atheist to go to heaven, but the real question is whether or not the atheist would want to be there.
how can anyone be sure.

No. We are judged by the desires of our heart and actions. Remember when Christ told a thief he would be with him in Paradise? Paradise and Heaven are not the same. There will be a cooling time between and depending on how you lived, you will be in Paradise or a Prison of sorts. An atheist who has not really heard the truth, will be taught. Someone who knows the truth, hardens their heart and rejects such will not. I believe there are several levels of Heaven, so while a person will not make the upper levels, they will be somewhere.

(just look at it this way, the Christians go to heaven, big whoop, and we get to go to Michigan, seriously, there's a town in Michigan named Hell, it's complete with a biker bar and street. It's a tight sqeeze for all us "sinners", but a shot a whiskey will have us laughing at those who went to "Heaven") LOL

Big Pappa many people from diverse schools of thought have done wonderful charitable works, lived descent lives,helped their neighbors,given to the poor and assisted widows in their affliction. some have outgiven Christians..the list is endless.......but we are not justified in our good works-the bible declares that our good deeds are as filthy rags. our justification is in the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.--he paid for our sin nature which we can never erase with our goodness.

If we believe that we are self sufficient,wise in our own eyes and
have no need for a savior in the person of Jesus Christ...then sadly, yes Jesus will proclaim to them "depart from me,you workers of iniquity..I never knew you.. Apart from a personal relationship with Jesus of nazareth,we are anathema.

Now remember you asked. And you are asking a Christian. We believe that you have to believe in Jesus to go to Heaven. He is the only one who is perfect to stand before God the Father. Without Jesus, you will stand before God on your own with all your sins exposed. No one in this life is perfect. Jesus forgives us of our sins and removes them as far as the east is from the west. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, except Jesus. He is a good guy to know.

First of all the bible said there are none good.

Secondly, we do not escape hell through our deeds. We are saved by faith in Jesus Christ. Therefore atheists are not saved, since they do not believe in God at all, no matter what "good" they may do.

if their god exists, then we'd still go to hell even if he is so "forgiving" and all that **** bc in the bible it clearly states "noone shall pass through the gates but through me and my son Jesus" which is a good argument that he doesn't exist or that he's not so caring and forgiving bc he'd not only judge by who believes in him but also by deeds done on earth
he doesn't exist therefore, hell doesn't exist the only hell we have to go through is the hell called earth
