I had the same problem. Even at the age of 36 it still seems wrong for a woman to ask a man out. This is what I did:
There is a guy on my delivery route at work that I've liked for some time. I knew he liked me too, but was also shy. This morning on my way out the door at his shop I handed him my number and said "I think you dropped this.".. then I left quickly..lol I figured the worst that could happen is he wouldn't call.
Worked like a charm. We're going out Sat. night! :-)
