There are a lot of places to get help. If you're burned out of your home, the Red Cross will help you get a place to stay, often a hotel, for several days. They'll also give you coupons to buy clothing and things. The Salvation Army and the Marine's Toys for Tots will help with presents. One of those agencies can also help you find a social worker who will help you find someplace to live and some assistance until you're back on your feet. Churches and houses of worship will also help sponsor you with food and toys for your kids.
My heart goes out to you: good luck!

First of all, I'm so sorry for your loss. Something like that is tragic, especially at this time of year.

Check with the counselor or social worker at your kids' school. They will take a more personal interest because they are under the same roof Monday through Friday. They will be able to guide you to the resources you need.

Good Luck and God Bless!

the red cross is wonderful about putting families in a hotel until proper housing can be taken care of , they also provide clothing , food and will make sure your kids have a present for Christmas , i know right know you must feel like Christmas and your life is totally messed up , but please remember that noone lost their life in this fire , you and yours are fine . even though you all have suffered a great loss you are all still together , and that's what is truly important. god bless and take care..........
